The 8th Edition of the Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES) Dinner Night kicked off yesterday with Abdulrazaq Isa, OFR, Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Producers Group (IPPG), delivered a keynote address emphasizing the industry’s transformation and unveiling a new IPPG logo.
Speaking at the event, Isa commended the Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, for championing industry reforms. “The ongoing reforms embarked on by the government continue to gather momentum and are delivering tangible results. The conclusion of the IOC divestments marks a defining moment for the industry and the nation,” he stated.
He highlighted the increasing role of Nigerian independent producers in onshore and shallow water acreages, contributing significantly to the nation’s crude oil production. “This transformational shift represents a promising future and an emerging role for IPPG,” Isa added.
A key highlight of the evening was the unveiling of IPPG’s new logo, marking a renewed commitment to advancing Nigeria’s oil and gas sector. “Since our establishment a decade ago, we have been dedicated to the renaissance of the industry. Our new logo reflects our re-dedicated commitment to making the industry a source of national pride,” he announced.
The summit also celebrated the establishment of the Africa Energy Bank, a milestone initiative by APPO and Afreximbank, aimed at strengthening Africa’s energy future. “This is a victory for the continent, symbolizing our collective effort to build a sustainable energy sector,” Isa noted.
