New NLNG Logo Redefines Brand as a Bold, Future-Focused Energy Company

…….by Ben Ndubuwa…..

In a bold step to redefine its brand identity, the Nigeria LNG unveiled a new logo that reflects its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and a transition toward cleaner energy. As part of this transformation, a video showcasing the journey behind the logo’s creation was also unveiled.

At a press briefing held in Lagos on Tuesday, the NLNG team comprising Andy Odeh, Mrs Sophia Horsfall, Mrs Anne-Marie Palmer-Ikuku and Elkanah Chawai, announced the retirement of its General Manager of External Relations and Sustainable Development, Andy Odeh, who is to be succeeded by Mrs Sophia Horsfall.

The out going General Manager, explained the creative process behind the logo involved a range of concepts, including symbols like lanterns and themes that evoke a mix of heritage and modernity. The design was finalized after undergoing rigorous testing and review both internally and externally. “At the end of the day, it was selected,” Odeh said. “And selected means that it went through all kinds of tests.”

The rebranding is not just about aesthetics but reflects a shift in LNG’s vision for the future. “We want to now be seen more as an energy company rather than just an oil and gas company. With the energy transition and the need for low carbon emissions, we’re aligning ourselves with a future that’s agile, attractive, and sustainable” Odeh said.

This new vision includes an in-house competition and seeks to capture perspectives from around the world, incorporating ideas from Africa and beyond, with a focus on digitalization, leadership, and growth.

Reflecting on this evolution, the company emphasized that the rebranding effort symbolizes more than a visual change; it represents a commitment to “humanity to the energy of gastronomy” and a redefined role in a global market focused on sustainability.
