Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC), on Friday, assured of adequate supply of power to its customers during the Eid-el Kabir celebrations.
In a goodwill message issued by EKEDC’s General Manager, Corporate Communications, Mr Godwin Idemudia, in Lagos on Friday, the company congratulated the Muslim faithful for another season of the sacred Islamic festival.
“Eid-el Kabir symbolises sacrifice and obedience to the will of Allah, and a period that reminds us of our humanity, compassion and the need to treat one another with love and respect.
“I encourage our customers to imbibe such principles in their daily lives,” he said.
Idemudia stated that EKEDC would ensure adequate supply of power to its customers during the festive period to make their holidays more comfortable.
He further assured them that the company’s rapid response team would be on ground to clear any fault that might arise during the period.
Idemudia also advised customers to desist from energy theft and vandalism of the company’s electrical installations, saying that such act could deprive them of electrical supply.
According to him, the company’s whistleblower channels will be available at all times for customers to report suspected cases of energy theft and vandalism.
Idemudia also urged the customers under the Lekki and Mushin districts to take advantage of the Mobile Meter Asset Provider (MAP) by Eko disco.
e said that the company had commenced the mobile metering exercise at its Festac District last month, adding that this was aimed at enhancing the metering process, under the MAP scheme.
Idemudia said that with the Mobile MAP, customers would be metered within 72 hours after payment of meter might have been confirmed.
