Air Peace has strongly refuted claims circulating on social media that one of its aircraft crashed in the Western Sahara region, resulting in fatalities, including the death of a prominent individual. The airline described the reports as “false and malicious,” emphasizing that this is a deliberate attempt to spread misinformation.
A spokesperson for Air Peace Dr. Henry Ejike Ndiulo said, “This information is categorically false. We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all our passengers and crew, and these claims do not reflect any real incident.”
The airline also pointed out that the author of the post has a history of spreading fabricated stories about non-existent tragedies. “The images accompanying these reports are clearly AI-generated and do not depict any real event,” Ndilulo added.
Air Peace urged the public to ignore the misleading reports and seek information from official sources. “Safety is not just a priority for us, it is a fundamental precondition for all our operations,” Ndiulo concluded.
